In this body of work, I examine the physical presence of the book, the appropriation of the text by the reader, and the similarities between reading and walking.
Walking the text began with the artist’s exploration of five books: The practice of everyday life by Michel de Certeau, Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino Species of Spaces by George Perec, The Blind Owl by Sadegh Hedayat and Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Caroll. The book and the digital prints grew out of the exploration into the words, notes, and texts that resonated most deeply with me, and the imagined dialogue between the books and walking.
